Kathmandu - Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has resigned to contest the election from the Rashtriya Swatantra party (RSP).

He announced his resignation through a special press conference this evening. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has accepted Kharel's resignation.

He resigned after being nominated as a candidate from the Rashtriya Swatantra party (RSP) from Lalitpur-2. Earlier, Sports Minister Bablu Gupta had also resigned. Kharel resigned today as he had to nominate his candidacy for the House of Representatives on Magh 6.
