Nepal : Shram Sanskriti Party
Chairman Harka Sampang has warned that Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah
will lose from wherever he files his candidacy.
Sampang, who is also the
mayor of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, says, “We will defeat Balen in the
election! We will lose from wherever he files his candidacy!”
Gen-z leaders have held
discussions with Dharan Sub-metropolitan City Mayor and Shram Sanskriti Party
Chairman Harka Sampang on the upcoming election. Leaders from 14 districts,
including Koshi Province Coordinator of the Council of Gen-z, Uparjun Chamling,
met Sampang.
During the meeting, Sampang
was asked about the 10-point agreement the government made with Gen z. “How
does your manifesto cover the agreement with the government? If it does, we had
said that you can have our support,” Chamling said.
Sampang, who entered the
election by forming the Labor Culture Party, replied that he was carrying the
country's issue. 'I am carrying the country's issue, your issue falls under
that,' Sampang had said.
Even during the Gen-z
movement, Mayor Sampang had argued that he stood for the right solution by
coming out on the streets. 'When the country was in trouble, some people were
hiding, at that time I was the one who came out on the streets and tried to
handle the crisis,' he had said.
Harka Sampang did not agree
to this proposal either. He took a stand that he would not form an alliance
with anyone.
There is no question of
forming an alliance with anyone. Who are you going to where? Fight with the mud
symbol, we will pick it up,' Sampang said. He had also urged the Gen-z not to
run elsewhere as there is a possibility of becoming candidates with the mud
symbol.
Sampang has made it clear
that his party will not unite with anyone.
The election atmosphere is
now. Many are doing many things. Whoever wants to get along with whomever they
want, they get along with. The Shram Sanskriti Party does not get along with
anyone,' he said, 'The Shram Sanskriti Party does politics without
adulteration. It does politics of the stones and soil of this country.'
Mayor Harka Sampang, who
keeps Dharan in the news with his campaign and statements, has announced that
he will become the country's Prime Minister in the upcoming elections.
He has called the formation
of the Shram Sanskriti Party his purpose of becoming the Prime Minister. Hark,
who is seeking votes on the symbol of soil held by Anjuli, is preparing to
field candidates across the country.
He has announced that he will be a candidate from Sunsari-1, including Dharan. This area includes Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, Wards 1 to 5 of Barahakshetra Municipality, and Wards 6 and 7 of Ramdhuni Municipality. Mayor Sampang considers this area safe. But Sampang's candidacy announcement seems to have put pressure on old forces like CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, Nepal Communist Party, and RPP.
After being able to feed the people of Dharan by bringing water from Kokah, 42 kilometers away, as announced earlier, his popularity has spread among the general public. Before Harka Sampang's rise to the mayorship, Sunsari-1 was a UML-held constituency.
